Apple’s 2024 OLED iPad Pro tablets to get slight but display size bump
Apple is reported to be working on iPad Pro tablets with OLED panels for a 2024 release, and it appears that the addition of OLED technology won’t be the popular gadgets’ only substantial change. According to reports, a remarkable increase in display size is also planned for the 2024 Apple iPad Pro models.
We previously covered a prediction made by display supply chain specialist Ross Young that Apple would release OLED iPad Pro devices in 2024, coupled with an OLED MacBook Air. The updated Apple iPad Pro tablets’ respective sizes have been revealed by the same source as some new information. It appears like there will be 11.1-inch and 13-inch display options for the Apple iPad Pro in 2024.
This is obviously the smallest increase in tablet screen size, with Apple depending on 11 inches for the smaller iPad Pro since 2018, and 12.9 inches for the larger iPad Pro from the line’s very first model (2015). Although the panels for the OLED iPad Pros may be a little bigger than those of the current M2-powered models, MacRumors believes that the overall size of the gadget may not alter as a result of the bezel reduction.
The 11.1-inch and 13-inch OLED Apple iPad Pro tablets will be released in the first quarter of 2024, according to Young, who also appears to have confirmed this. It appears Apple intends to upgrade the smaller iPad Pro to the same display quality level as the larger version because the 12.9-inch iPad Pro now has a superior mini-LED panel while the 11-inch tablet is limited to a conventional LED liquid retina panel.
